Who thought Norway can only produce crazy punk and gloomy black metal is wrong. With KOBOL the first powerviolence band ever fell into my hands coming from the Scandinavian country. They are performing frustrated top speed punk with heavy breakdowns and sick mosh parts, which you could probably compare to HATRED SURGE or HARM DONE. But with their first output, VOID also offers delightfully grumpy vocals and injections of noise, which back up the astral coverartwork. As for a debut record, extremely well balanced songs of rabid Powerviolence and intense Hardcore Punk, KOBOL are making a strong start and definitely leave you wanting more.
